Henry Thoreau In Meditation - Fact: this painting had been completed sometime during 1991 along with a series of other inspirational acrylic paintings. During the process of this unusual creation two very relevant things are responsible for its spiritual energy: One - the initial composition had not been laboriously worked on - although it was a little cumbersom straddling the living room coffee table. Two - Since its inception, this painting had only been shown a few times, which was over ten years ago. Yet all during this time no one had ever mentioned that it resembled Henry Thoreau - that is until I recieved an email from an art historian who has been teaching at Villanova. It appears that he intends to publish a book on Henry David Thoreau and asked for my permission to include Henry's image. I gracefully agreed to do so whenever he found the appropriate publisher - which is still ongoing. CLICK
